The Big Demo Update


Finally, after 5 months of tirelessly animating new sprites, coding and re-coding old spaghetti code, designing new systems, etc.. the Pull Yourself Together demo is done.

The original game made in 28 days was done very hastily and as a result, the code was sloppy and just janky. But this is to be expected due to the time constraints. The last 5 months have given me time to rethink the game mechanics and design a demo that I think shines much brighter than the original game. It's really a whole new game.


Things I've added:

- Part Upgrading

- New re-designed levels

- UI rehaul

- New enemies and animations

- Tons of SFX and Music

- Part/Object Persistence between scenes

- Intro and Ending "cutscenes"


Things I still want to add in the near-future:

- Way more enemy variety

- Way more levels and environments

- A mini-map system

- More NPCs and a dialogue system

- Rehaul the UI and Inventory/Part pickup mechanics

- Rehaul the way upgrades work

- Add Save Points aside from backing up
